8th Grade Graduation

Hey guys, I have good and bad news. Good news is, Eigth grade graduation is next week Thursday and that means the end of the school year for me. Bad news is, I think I might take a break from writing on my blog, or even stop all together. There is a small possibility that I might post here from time to time, but in the mean time I think I’ll take a break from it. Don’t worry right now, I’ll still be up and runing during the summer (hopefully). Song of the day is, Break by Three Days Grace (I thought this song would go well with something about graduation). Quote of the day is,

Human Race

I know I already did a blog post about this song already, but I forgot to do one on the music video they made for it. Human Race is an amazing song, well at least to me it is. To sum up the meaning of the song, the song is about the dilapidated state of humanity and the self-destructive behaviors we have developed among ourselves. I will warn you now, there is nudity in the video, but nontheless, the video sends a powerful message about us as a species.

This Is Not A Joke.

(This isn’t my own words, but I was just too lazy to write today. It’s from Rolling Stone.)

On Monday, April 20th, Waka Flocka Flame announced his candidacy for President of the United States in an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone. It’s only fair to say that this news took the world by storm. Millions of people were excited to see the Flockaveli rapper in the race. They called, texted, tweeted and Facebook-messaged their friends to talk about Waka’s plans. Some of them even thought he was joking.

Waka Flocka is not joking. This campaign is very real. The Atlanta native took his bid to the streets of New York City on Tuesday, introducing himself to his fellow Americans and seeking their signatures on a petition to get him on the ballot in 2016.

Here’e the campaign video below,

Why Is This Stuck In My Head?

As you can tell by the title of the post, I obviously have something stuck in my head, but for now that can wait. As we all know, yesterday was Memorial Day. I’m not gonna much into detail about Memorial Day and the history about it, but you want to read about it, go Here. What it basically is, is a day in which the whole day is dedicated to remeber those who have died fighting for our country and our freedom. I myself participated in the Memorial Day Parade in Milwauke yesterday being that I am a Young Marine.

Ok now back to the original topic, something stuck in my head. Ever since I saw the movie, Fast & The Furious 7, I’ve had this one song in particular stuck in my head. That song is called, See You Again by Wiz Khalifa. I don’t know why, but ever since I heard it, it’s been stuck in my head, partley because it was kinda sad. At the end of the song, they say that it was dedicated to Paul Walker, who died two years ago in a horrific car crash. That is all for today, and as always, the qoute of the day.

It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.

It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

Saint Asonia’s Frist Song

Hey guys, sorry I’ve been lacking to be up to date with my posts. it’s just I’ve been having writers block and I can’t come up with any ideas for a blog post (my teachers give us some ideas, but I don’t like to use them). Today I finally found something to write about 11 days after my last post (I think this is the longest I’ve gone without writing a blog post).

Today I’m here to talk about Saint Asonia’s new song called, Better Place. It sounds really amazing, I can’t wait to here what the whole album sounds like! I guess that’s all for toady and I guess I will start putting qoutes at the end of every post. Today’s quote is,

Adam Gontier’s New Band Teaser. Saint Asonia, New Superband?

I was wondering when Adam would at least post a teaser video, AT LAST HE FINALLY DID!!! After some research, I found that it might be a new superband in the eyes of fans (including myslef).

According to The Pulse Of Radio, Saint Asonia is the name of a new rock “supergroup” led by former Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier, with the rest of the group reportedly consisting of Staind guitarist Mike Mushok, ex-Finger Eleven drummer Rich Beddoe and journeyman bassist Corey Lowery. While that lineup has not been officially confirmed, a 38-second teaser video clearly shows clips of Gontier, Mushok and possibly Beddoe and Lowery.

The teaser video states that “the combined forces behind the group have amassed 25 Top 10 rock singles and 17 Number One hit songs.”

The clip also hints at something arriving on May 16, with a debut single likely.

Gontier has kept a low profile since leaving Three Days Grace in December 2012. The band replaced him with Matt Walst and recently release a new album called “Human”.

Mushok’s band, Staind, has not released new music since 2011 and as of last December had no plans to return to the studio. Mushok played briefly in 2013 with ex-Metallica bassist Jason Newsted in his self-named band.

Beddoe exited Finger Eleven in late 2013. The Canadian act recorded a new album late last year but release details are yet to be announced.

Lowery’s resume includes stints with Stuck Mojo, Switched, Stereomud, Dark New Day and most recently Eye Empire.

Desecration of the American Flag

I’m not one who gets all worked up about politics and stuff, but when someone burns an American flag in front of a veteran, it boils my blood. That guy was lucky that he had the police protecting him or it could have gotten worse. What irratates me even more, is at 1:23 you can hear a student in a U.S. Army uniform yelling at Ben Haas (student trying to burn the flag), MY BROTHERS  DIED FOR YOU! MY BROTHERS DIED FOR YOU! If people like him don’t like America and think that our verterans are murders, then I’d like to see them go over to Iran, Iraq, or Afganistan and let them see the horrors of war. Them maybe they’ll shut up. The Part I love most about this video is when the crowd is chanting USA! USA! USA! And when they’re chanting, GO TO HELL HIPPIE, F*** YOU!!!

Cage Match Winner

Last week’s cage match winner is (drumroll), Three Days Grace. Of all of the four votes, there was one for Sick Puppies. Today’s song of the day is. Animal I have become by Three Days Grace. Okay, I know yo may think this description is kinda dark, but it kinda desribes me, but not enirely. So here it goes,

At school, I’m always a nice guy, funny, and all my friends like me. But I’m sure that the fact that they don’t know or at least understand what comes in my mind when I’m angry, that’s what helps them like me.
When I play games like AC or COD, I think of myself as a badass, being able to kill an whole army without even being touched. I’m able to chop and slice and dice any man or zed that comes in my way . That’s actually normal, but when I’m actually angry at someone, worse…. I imagine my self doing what is do to people who deserve it… to the ones I love. Sometimes I see myself not as the nice and funny guy I am, but something else……. A MONSTER. I don’t have big, 6inch long sword like claws or big razor sharp teeth, but I’m insane. I could be capable to hurt those who deserve it, but when I’m mad.

It’s time for a cage match. What is a cage match some of you might ask? What a cage match basically is, is a vote in which you vote between a song and/or a band and who ever wins proccedes onto the next match. Today’s cage match is You’re Going Down by Sick Puppies or You’re Goin’ Down by Three Days Grace. Before you get all click happy and vote for one or the other just because it’s your favorite band, listen to the songs! Winners will be posted next week.
