As you can tell by the title of the post, I obviously have something stuck in my head, but for now that can wait. As we all know, yesterday was Memorial Day. I’m not gonna much into detail about Memorial Day and the history about it, but you want to read about it, go Here. What it basically is, is a day in which the whole day is dedicated to remeber those who have died fighting for our country and our freedom. I myself participated in the Memorial Day Parade in Milwauke yesterday being that I am a Young Marine.
Ok now back to the original topic, something stuck in my head. Ever since I saw the movie, Fast & The Furious 7, I’ve had this one song in particular stuck in my head. That song is called, See You Again by Wiz Khalifa. I don’t know why, but ever since I heard it, it’s been stuck in my head, partley because it was kinda sad. At the end of the song, they say that it was dedicated to Paul Walker, who died two years ago in a horrific car crash. That is all for today, and as always, the qoute of the day.
It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.
